Living Paintings charity to host star-studded fundraiser in support of blind children.

Rock Choir, Julian Fellowes and other big names from the world of music and TV joined forces at the 02, London on the 24th March, in a not-to-be-missed charity event to help support thousands of blind and partially sighted children throughout the UK.

As an added touch of excitement to the evening, anyone buying tickets for this special charity event got the chance to win an exclusive dinner with Julian Fellowes and his wife, at a top London restaurant.

Julian Fellowes commented: “I am delighted to be part of this very special performance which promises to raise the roof and vital funds for Living Paintings, the Newbury-based charity that I have supported for many years.

All proceeds from the event went to Living Paintings, to help support the creation and distribution of their life-enhancing 'Touch To See' books. These incredible books contain audio descriptions, and special raised versions of illustrations and paintings. The pictures come to life when fingers feel them, allowing blind and partially sighted children to experience the joy of much loved books, such as 'Mog the Forgetful Cat,' and 'Where The Wild Things Are'. There's a vast range of books for adults too, and the charity distributes them for free through a UK-wide postal library service, making them available to as many people as possible.
